Philosophy

Like a fingerprint, there are no two projects that are the same. ASL recognizes the tangible and intangible factors that help physically and psychologically sculpt the spaces we live, work, and play in. We are committed to producing designs that function for, comfort, and inspire the people who use them.

Background

For over 20 years ASL has helped BUILD identities for retailers, CREATE more vibrant environments for workers, and SHAPE the communities we all share. Founded in 1992 by Brad Williams, Architectural Solutions, Ltd is based in downtown Lansing, Michigan. While we call Lansing home, our designs have taken us across the country and even beyond the borders.

Projects

ASL has extensive EXPERIENCE with retail design, mixed-use developments, apartments and lofts, office space, and within the hospitality and restaurant industries. We have been fortunate to form a NETWORK of relations from coast to coast, and work with some of the most recognizable brands in the world including Duty Free Americas, Mont Blanc, Coach, Armani, DKNY, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, Burberry, L’Occitane, Kiehl’s, Ashley Stewart, Tous, and Thomas Pink. We offer complete retail design services from prototype design to rollouts for national and local brands located in airports, malls, stand alone buildings, and strip centers.While we have our specialties, the diverse backgrounds of the ASL staff allow us to cater to almost any project type and size. In addition to providing architectural services for our clients, we can also provide a plethora of other services including site design and planning, building code analysis and review, interior design and material selection, graphic design, renderings, animations, millwork design, space planning, guidance for permitting, lighting design, and construction administration.

Airport Specific Experience

If you’ve flown lately, you have likely seen a project by ASL as we have constructed projects in over 15, major international airports. We continue to focus many of our resources on airport related design. Our scope of services has covered the FULL SPECTRUM of design that is necessary for travel retail. At one end of the spectrum, we have aided in the graphic design of proposals which included the binder, stationary, and architectural presentation. In turn, we have had the opportunity to see our initial renderings and ideas turned into the reality of built designs.

Design

Detailing

After the project has a clear direction, the technical detailing and drawing can begin. ASL will develop a set of drawings that can be used to obtain a building permit and instruct a contractor how to build your project.

Construction

As a project starts construction, ASL stays available to adress any issues that arise and ensure the design’s intent is met.
