Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport approached the ASL to develop a comprehensive architectural proposal for how the Cleveland Hopkins Airport could be renovated if they were to win a bid to own and operate CLE. ASL’s primary goal was to provide clear navigational aids throughout, brighten the currently dark corridors, and open up spaces directly post security in order to alleviate crowding. The scope included the design of conceptual spaces that would subsequently set design standards for restaurants, stores, and public spaces through out the airport. The team was selected as a finalist by the airport, and was invited to present the design to the board. The presentation included an extensive 3D walk through of the entire airport.
