DFA Concepts – Southern

Caribbean- As part of a proposal response for Sangster International Airport, ASL developed the submission binder and architectural concept for series of duty free stores. The architectural concept regionalized DFA’s standard storefront by developing a three dimensional, waved sign band that customers would “dive” underneath and into the store. Once inside, the customer would experience the sensation of scuba diving underneath the crystal waters that surround Jamaica.

Southern Border- ASL has developed concepts for multiple southern border store locations including Nogales, Eagle Pass, Tijuana, El Paso, and Laredo among others. The stores pull from the regional vernacular and materiality to blend with their context.

Orlando- The concept for Orlando organized the various departments around an open central atrium space. Each department used color coded lighting in the the bubble ceiling features to help further orient passengers within the space.
